I don't have the photographic skill that some of you guys have, but I thought I would share this one.

That was a cold, cold, day of duckhunting.
 
Now I gotta go look ...
somewhere I've go a bunch of photos of quail, duck & dove hunts over the years down in Cuba with a trusty old 870 Express ... kinda' the opposite of Hankus's photo !
You know ... palm trees, sunny, bluebird 25C. days. Been at the opposite end too - in an early goose hunt at -31C on the Grand River one January. Love it all !

It's legal as long as you are in the vehicle. If you leave it for any reason the gun can't be in plain sight. Whether you get away with it is another matter. It's not something I'd be keen to try in Toronto. :)

Is that the Laminated stock or one of the older non-laminated wood stocks? Do you like the wood or synthetic better?

That's the new laminated stock. I just recieved it about 2 weeks ago. Usually I prefer the synthetic stocks on an 870, but wood always feels nice. Plus being laminated it's far tougher then regular wood. I have considered ordering a set of Houge overmoulded stocks for this gun, but I'll close my season out with her as is. :)
 
Hankus, for a fellow that says he doesn't take great pictures the snow on the action speaks volumes about both the gun, the bitterness of the day and your level of sanity for being out in that stuff :D

It's a great shot and would do just fine as a desktop or hanging in the gun room or your den to remind you of the day and being that little bit more alive thanks to doing something active and outdoors.

No pictures of my own 870 Express but it's set up with a black Remington SureShot stock and foregrip and alternates between wearing the original short tactical barrel it came for short range giggles with and a long hunting barrel for some casual trap shooting.

It's a great gun that hasn't let me down in the slightest manner. It keeps on shooting just like the Energizer bunny.
 
My 870 Express looks, well, frankly... Retarded. It's got a Knoxx Recoil-Reducing Stock, a fore-grip off of an 870 Police (synthetic)... And a factory 28" barrel with bead-sight. It screams "I'm almost tacticool"... But isn't even close.

The joys of having a lefty shotgun, with no shorter barrels in the EE. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I'm working on that one...
 
My 2007 870 Express 3" Magnum. I swapped the bolt with a Wingmaster bolt and it sports a Norinco aluminum trigger group. Also replaced the follower with an S&J no-jam follower.

Those express laminate stocks are about the only laminate stocks that I find easy on the eyes and nicely priced when they show up on the EE had to put a set on my wingmaster.Now thinking of swapping them over to Mr Express.
 
I think the new laminated stocks on the Express are better than the new synthetic ones that Remington has put onto the 870. The new synthetic fore-end isn't as nice. Doesn't fit the lines of the gun.
