The 870P I have been waiting for!!

let you shoulder heal properly. The recoil on a 14" isn't bad at all. A Knoxx stock is not going to help your injured shoulder. time will.

Except that shoulders never come back 100% and even as a righty, the feeling in my left shoulder from a day of shotgunning without my Knoxx means I'm in a world o' hurt and my left arm is hanging limp for the rest of the day while I'm using booze to wash down the ibuprofen horse pills.

Nice shotgun!

I waited a little over 2 years to get mine. I ordered the well-used police furniture from Numrichs' in the US with the intent to re-finish it. I thought it had so much character that I did a mild sanding job and pretty much left it as is. You can even see on the pistol grip where lots of oil from someones hands saturated the wood, maybe some tense stand-offs in the shotguns service history :p.

I previously had a Dlask 14 incher, and let me be the first to tell you that it was MUCH heavier than the factory 14" pipe. I also like the balance on the factory 870P with a 14" versus the Dlask equipped one.

from what I hear its a hard model to find with a factory MOD 14" barrel.
The fixed mod choke bead sighted barrel is less common as is the fixed mod choke barrel with factory rifle sights. The mod choke is much better IMO than the cylinder choked barrels.

UFC Fighter Joe Doerksen broke my collar bone, and it didn't get properly diagnosed for 3 weeks afterwards (thanks Misericordia hospital ). So needless to say, by the time I got to physio, my shoulder was a complete mess. I completed a 10 session course of physio, and continued with the exercises. Eventually, about 1 year later, my shoulders were my strongest muscle group, my shoulder press max was about 205lbs, compared to my 225lb bench max. I'm just saying, that time, and determination, can heal shoulders, YMMV.

Also, having a purple shoulder doesn't make you anymore of a man. I'll take an ugly Knoxx stock over an ugly shoulder any day. Even though, I am a recoil Junkie, I'd rather fire twice as many rounds and not be sore for a couple days after.

All done! Mesa saddle, and Vang Comp stainless follower. Also might pick up a shorter stock in the near future..just cant decide which one to buy.

That's a fantastic looking peice!! Congrats! Can you tell me what type of pelican box that you have the shells in from the pic in your first post?

Are you considering a sling for that bad boy?

I have a similar setup, although it's not officially an 870P, it's an older Wingmaster dressed up as one with a 12.5 barrel.

I call it my "Classic Tactical" :D

Click on the pic to make it larger.

Does that barrel do 3"? Where did you get it?

My Police 14 inch factory . I have several stocks for it . I now have a Badger Ordinance picatinny on it to mount the Eotech . The Badger is low enough that i can still use the Scattergun Tech sights . The Speedfeed buttstock in the pic only works with 2 rounds of 3 inch mag on both sides . Under recoil , 2 3/4" rounds bounce out . This gun shoots incredibly well . 4" to 5" - 5 shot groups at 100 yards using Brenneke 3" mag slugs . The barrel is threaded for flush fit chokes . Briley , steel shot rated but i only use the full choke . Scattergun Tech 1 round extension . It now has a single point sling attachment between the reciever and buttstock from One Shot Tactical .

I regret selling my 870P a few years back. I've not been able to find one and have considered picking up a shorty Norinco HP9 or a Grizzly shotgun. Anyone have any suggestions as to which would be better?
