If anyone could list up any parts [brand name/style/even where purchased if you want] that fit on your DA 556 it would be appreciated. I have read it is not "true milspec" so in case someone buys a part that someone bought in the past that did not work, it may save people some $$.

DA556 has a commercial buffer tube, other than that so far so good

I have installed YHM diamond rails, magpul parts with no issues at all.

Recently installed BCM KMR13 rail, flawless and fit perfectly.

My current AR upper of choice is the 20" A1 I got from Canadaammo. I was able to swap out my front post and rear sight aperture for after market tritiums with no difficulty, and the barrel accepted all of the muzzle devices I had on hand, as well as a magpul MOE handguard. I think Norinco has more or less sorted out the compatibility issues.

So far on mine without any modifications

Guntec USA 7" two piece quad rail
Magpul MIAD Grip
Magpul CTR Commercial Stock
Magpul Polymer Trigger Guard

I did try to add a new dust cover only to find out that there's no c clip on the stock one and I did hear that the Magpul SL hand guard doesn't fit.

I have two DA556 rifles.

The 14.5" rifle came with the quad rail. I installed Magpul XTM rail covers, Magpul RVG, Hogue pistol grip, Magpul ASAP QD sling point, and a Magpul MOE carbine stock.

The 20" rifle has the Magpul handguard, trigger guard, MIAD grip, rifle stock and a QD sling point. It also has the Trijicon tritium sights installed.

Everything fit without any cutting, filing or shaping. Installing the handguard on the 20" rifle was tight but it fit. Both rifles function flawlessly.

if you ever feel like selling the quad rail from the 14.5 let me know.
as a standby i bought a bolt on pic rail for the dildo foregrip that came with it.

I've never had an issue installing any aftermarket part on my norinco ar's.
Including new buffer tube/stock/plate, grip, rails, triggers, muzzle devices, etc.

I've heard a lot of people complain that the norincos dont fit a lot of aftermarket parts. Maybe that was true of old ones, its certainly not true on my newer one.
