The AK- SKS kit ( little update post 440 2015-03-19)( less ABS more wood and metal)

Too bad we can't get Albanian bolt carriers here - that would make it even closer. Very cool project, frankly I don't have the skills or patience to do anything close to that, but I admire those who do.
 
well it have been sitting in the safe for a moment thinking about solving one little issue and i think i found the way to solve that , but with north silva bringing their sks47 i guess i should have keep that thing for myself like my other design of sks stock , i got so good idea that people like to base their product out of it ...
 
looks like an AK on steroids with the rear part of the receiver the same kind of ''shape''' but somewhat oversized at the stock-receiver junction .

IIUC it is the sks action bedded into your receiver and stock ; trigger group-gas block-recoil system-barrel are all sks right?

i like it,if ever it goes in production and proven (!!!) reliable i'd give it a go.

What is the sks 47? Do you have a pic or link?

$749 as a special introductory price for the SKS47.... Sorry but no thanks North Sylva. (And I dont think that even includes the rifle? So you are looking at $1000 for a freakin' SKS?)

I like what you are doing. Looks a lot nicer than the one for NS. Not really my cup of tea (I like the SKS just the way it is, other than that damn safety...) but I can't complain about having options. *IF* you did go into production on this, do you have an approximate price point? Or is that wholly dependent on where you can get to manufacture your design?

yep it all in function of where i get the parts and the number , to get the metal sheet part it did cost me a few hundred for 3 sets ,
 
Wow!!! I just read this front ta back...you did a lot of good work on this dad003! I was waiting for bfiles to say he was moving in lol!
Great job and I hope you get it in production if that's what your intentions we're.
