The Anschutz,Cooper,Sako,Walther,Krico,Weihrauch...You get the idea, picture thread!

Schweeeeet! I will enjoy these fine rifles vicariously, I have a number of projects to work on before a new rifle is on the table even then I don't think I'll be getting any of these for myself.

Something a little different:

Yes it's a Quad from Euro Optic. It's a special 1 of 3 made and the only one in Canada :)

It's got the Lilja barrel, custom Manners Elite Tac full carbon fiber stock painted with GAP camo (1 of 3 ever made), full DIP parts, built by American Precision Arms - who according to Euro Optic built nicer trainers than the previous shop. I got it BNIB personally from someone at Euro Optic who was kind enough to let it go. I wasn't sure about the stock being "full carbon" so I called Manners to verify and the owner was baffled how I got my hands on it and offered to buy it after I'm done shooting it. Haha. I'll likely be keeping it or selling it to a Canadian should I ever decide. It's pretty light considering (my Kidd Supergrade with 16.5" bull barrel and McMillan STC stock weighs more) and shoots pretty damn well too.

Definitely a unique gun! I like your set up with the NF scope. Looks like a real versatile gun with the handling/portability of a heavy sporter and the accuracy of a target rifle. How well does it shoot?
I ask because I find that my Anschutz's out shoot my Sako's. Curious to hear about the Lilja's preferences for ammo.

It shoots pretty much exactly the same as my Kidd Supergrade, DAR-22 with 16.5" Kidd barrel/Kidd trigger etc and CZ 452 in Manners Elite Tac full carbon fiber stock (same stock as my Sako but the T4 style), which are all under 0.5" @ 50 yds wirh CCI Mini Mags. I have a BNIB Anschutz 1710 D HB Classic that I will eventually take out and compare to my other rifles if I don't sell it first.

I haven't shot match ammo in any of them yet but have a bunch of Eley sitting here. Honestly I have no interest in serious grouping with these rifles as I use them for hunting grouse and that's basically it. They're all fun and stuff but nothing too special with "regular" ammo such as CCI Mini Mags. These rifles all seem to shoot better with the CCI Standard Velocity tho! Haha. Match ammo would be awesome. In fact I think with those Mini Mags my Kidd Supergrade might group a bit more consistently than the Quad..

As for the scope... it was a tough call what to put on it. I bounced around from possibly S&B to Vortex and just couldn't find one that was appropriate. I stuck with this Nightforce SHV only because of its length, 11.6", which compliments this rifle nicely. All the other suitable optics I was interested in were way too long for my visual taste. I wish the reticle was illuminated tho as seeing grouse in the trees can be quite difficult :(

Anschutz model 64 Silhouette with a 6-18x Leupold, and a model 54.18 MS with a BR-24x Leupold, both in Tally 1 pc medium rings/bases.

A full custom Anschutz 54. The model 54 receiver was threaded, then a custom Schneider stainless steel barrel with match chamber was screwed into place. The custom stock is cast-off for a right-handed shooter, and includes a well-executed cheek piece, a finely-crafted Wundhammer palm swell, full-wrap checkering on the fore end, a steel grip cap, and a genuine ebony fore end tip.

From this weekend at the range... A 1727F in a 1827F stock. Best of both worlds with a March 3-24x52 FFP mil/mil scope. I am now in my happy place with this system!

Well that's neat!

Will the 1827F action fit in the sporter stock from the 1727F???

Damn........If I had the cash laying around, I'd try to take it off your hands.

I'll try get a picture up after work tomorrow :) It would make a nice ultra light fortner action 22lr in a very accurate package. Would be great if I could source longer bolts to fit a 1827F sprint biathlon action!

Edit to add a picture of the new plan...
