The answer to the GSG-5 is......the HK416

I've been searching on forums, etc, about the "can we attach a buffer tube & stock to the pistol version" question, and so far, it doesn't look like it. :( I've found several posts in other forums that say it's not possible (it sounds like it was probably designed this way to avoid violating US laws about short-barreled rifles). I'll let Dlask confirm for sure, and will happily place an order if we can indeed install a stock on it. ;)

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but if you honestly think you're getting an "HK" for $600 - expect to be disappointed... About the only "authentic" aspect is the grip and possibly the stock (although I think it's probably more likely that they're PTS). When they say "metal", they mean just that; don't infer that to mean 7075 aluminium...

This isn't intended to take anything away from DZ. I'm glad to see they're bringing them in, and I'm sure they'll be a lot of demand for these. That being said, it is a restricted .22LR with 10-round capacity - and I have almost double that now with my non-restricted .223, so YMMV...

I saw on their website that they have a mp5 22 also. Any chance of getting those in?

Nope! These are prohibited simply because they "look" like their prohibited big brothers, which is ridiculous but there you have it. All we need to do to correct this situation is to form a more powerful gun lobby, so vote conservative, lobby your MP - nicely, and we'll eventually be able to own these MP5 22 guns.

Looking forward to the HK 416's getting here, good job Dlask.

Isn't the HK416 22 rifle made by Carl Walther in Germany and imported by UmarexUSA?

Correct- THESE ARE NOT MADE BY HK; Walther manufactures them and Umarex imports them into the USA. Still high quality- the 416 .22 is about the same weight as my MR.223. What I really want to know is if Dlask is bring in any of the 'HK' MP5-22's...

hk416

Yes....we are also bringing in the rifle.

A friend at my club was in the USA recently- He said it's the exact same thing as my HK MR .223... he's held/shot my real deal MR .223, and says they're virtually identical, including weight (rifle version- 416D)... take it for what it's worth...
