The answer to the GSG-5 is......the HK416

Quick Google search and it seems the S&W lower can't be fired with different uppers (though apparently they will fit, just not function).

Sorry, guys... don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but just want to try and make sure we don't lose sight of the gun laws in this country. I'm hoping somehow it's NR as well! :)

Given that the RCMP have been accused of duct taping a lower and upper together to get it to fire once and then classifying, i don't think anything can be taken for granted until it's in our hands.

Is there an FRT# for this rifle length HK416?

The rifle have a 16.1 inch barrel

It need to be at least 18.5 inch to be non-restricted, no?

This remember me the fuzz about the Umarex M-16 .22LR (20 inch barrel). People thought it was going to be non-restricted but in the end, classified as an AR variant.

So I doubt it will be non-restricted

Am I not writing clearly? There is already an FRT # for the rifle...it's restricted. 10 round mags only...

Correct me if im wrong (forget if its an ar15 for a sec) I believe rimfires are classified by overall lenhth not barrel length like centerfire, same with pump action shotguns (and break open)

The rifle is restricted. Not sure what is misleading. We never said until now.......a classification. Will find out about options for the pistol as well that people were asking.

We apologize if anything was not clear. We are dealing with the govt like everyone else.

You answered the question "Will you be importing a non-restricted variant?" with "Yes....we are also bringing in the rifle."

I believe that is what (mis?)lead to the discussion. Unfortunately, I won't be able to order one at this time, then, as I need a larger space to lock up a restricted rifle.

they are not made by hk. so the whole speal about hk enginering is total bs i wouldnt buy one the colt is a piece of crap and these probaly will be too

How to explain this.......if a "company" starts building plants based on the "owners" design....does that mean it is not a Joe Smith gun because Joe Smith himself did not make it? This is a licensed HK product with all the quality of HK. It's not like a M1A copied by Norinco......hope this is better clarity.

Apparently magazines from the colt m4 .22 will fit in the HK416-22 so you shouldn't be limited to 10 rounds.

^^ Dumb video but it is the only one I could find showing the magazines fit.

If that is the case....we will look into that....if the Colt .22lr mags fit in the 416 and are unregulated.....we will bring those in for sale.
