The AR-180b - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Right........it has a gas piston configuration. It releases the bolt carrier, so impingement delay for the bolt is not required, theirfore....no gas rings on bolt; gotcha. Nice! I completely forgot the AR 180b used a short-stroke gas piston; that is one big plus.
Is it adjustable, or any after market retrofit to make it adjustable?
Really no need to adjust the gas. I have had 180's since '85 and 180b's for awhile and never encountered a need to adjust. I might not shoot as much as some of you guys what with running my shop but I usually hammer out about 500 rounds a week through my various rifles.

Damnit, i just got my visa Paid off and now I'm wanting a AR-108B again!

Will the upper fit onto a Ar-15 lower? that would solve issues wouldn't it?

Damn I want one. Wolverine is Sold out? what do they get in 2-4 at a time? Why not a Cargo Crate of 300?

Okay, well I've given all the info you guys have provided to my friend who asked the original questions on the AR-180b. As another gun plummer he's pretty convinced that this is a good deal for what you get. He's just ordered one from Wolverine. And he's just convinced me to add one to the, (ever increasing) pile of 5.56mm semi's in the vault, so I ordered one as well. Looks like they'll be arriving sometime at the end of the month according to Ryan at Wolverine. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts, insights and comments. See you on the firing line.......

Hey Armedsask ! Would it be easier to use the AK-47 trigger group in the sheet metal 180? you wont need the detents just the cross pin holes for the fire control group.
the safety may be a problem though, just thinking of ways to simplify the buildup.
