The BD-44 (StG44/MP44) w/pics...

LOL - give it 60 years of normal range time, or 6 months of use at the front and it'll look as original as any Nazi made stg44 ever did ;)
No the originals were smooth but roughly finished. And the spot welds are too deep. But it looks nice and will make a fun shooter.

What's the calibre? 7.92 Kurtz?

If so - while historically accurate - would be useless to me. Where in the ayetch-eee-dubble-hockeysticks do you get ammo? Do they even sell brass or dies for this round?

9mm would be cool! :)

I have 500 pc of virgin brass in my gun room as we speak. I also have a reforming die on the way, so I can make the brass out of 308 or 300 savage.
Gobels in London have just ordered me 200 125gn 8mm bullets, and I aleady have my die set as well, so hey I should be shooting in no time. Also, for any others out there, I have a RCE Walnuthill press and dies on the way, so I will be making my own jacketed bullets sometime soon as well...

How do you arrive at your conclusions as to the finish of the orignals....
How many have you examined/handled over the years ?
How many do you count in your vault ? How many variants ?
On my side we have owned, examined, processed, sold many, many thousand of all the variants starting with the MkB (bth types) rigth through to the Mp-44/45, I would be pleased to show you the representative samples we have here....
In short show me !!!!

Why.....?......is it because you have nowhere to put the surefirelazertag dodad gps frontgrip on it:rolleyes:;)

Give that man a cupie doll! I suppose in a way it's good that these are so expensive, it keeps all the armchair tacti-kewl airsoft mall ninja guys from "pimping them out" with their crap :D

Oh that is easy, all but the Mkb. And one with the side scope rail. I haven't seen thousands but would put the number around 800. I learned along time ago if you put pictures on the internet they will be used by others. Don't worry I will never be buying from you after you screwed me around 15 years ago.

yup, it's insane alright...... but compared to what? I know a few fellows with MP44s and the only place they can go is to a gunshow or keep them in their vaults!:(

I received my BD44 last Friday, got 900 rounds of ammo and I'm itchin' to take it out for a spin!:D

Can't wait for the FG42:rockOn:

Where the h@ll did you get 900 rds?? I hope it's not WWII stuff, as I read on a MP44 forum, it should not be use in rifles today... too high of presures do to the powder and primers getting too old.

Oh and by the way, I'm in southwestern Ontario too :D :D nudge nudge, wink wink.... if you know what I mean, Eh!!

There was a fair bit of 60s dated E. German production 7.92x33 floating around a while ago. I was still firing this in a buddy's MP44 C/A until ATTs were cancelled for that class. No problems with that stuff other than the usual surplus cleaning issues.

Ok so I "screwed you around" 15 years ago.... Would you mind backing this statement up with some facts ? Your name would be nice (PM if you prefer)

Since you have dealt so many of the MP-44s we certainly must have met since we delivered 1000s in Canada and the US.

I look forward to your reply

John

Was it steel casings as well??

Not trying to start a pissing match here, but when you think of the limited production numbers of this rifle, and I think alot of the parts are hand machined (but I could be wrong) I think the price is a bit of a bargin. God knows I can't afford the real thing, even if I had the proper lic.... Plus, I can take mine to the range any time I like, and shoot it to boot.

We will offer the different wood as it becomes available....
Our beech stocks are original in every respect....
Buy both models, why torture yourself with difficult decisions....
Then the SKb-42, an Fg-42, a BD-3008, etc, etc....
John

You're the consumate salesman John ;) How many thousands of dollars have I already spent at marstar over the last two months or so? LOL...

All things in time :)

PS: I know the beech stocks are original, but so are the laminate ones and I prefer that look personally. Others will disagree :)

No, $3000 is insane for a browning Citori trap model.

$3000 for a legal STG44 is only insane if you can't afford $3000. Most of us into German WW2 kit CAN afford $3000 if we really want to. Everything else is just b!tching from people who can't afford to play the game.

Where does one apply for these licences to #####? :p I can't afford to play the game either :(

Look at it this way. If you can afford to own your own home and car and you can afford to eat out, go to Florida or Cuba on vacation, etc. then you can afford an stg44 if you REALLY want to.

If you're not willing to budget elsewhere to pay for a toy then I have no sympathy for you. You've set your priorities and the stg44 isn't one of them ;)

If you really want one, but honestly can't afford one because there isn't $3000 worth of fat to trim off your lifestyle then I feel for you, but don't blame the importer for not providing you a free rifle - they need to make money just like you ;)
