The Beretta CX4 Thread

Possible! Or the surfaces in contact with one another got polished through wear and use and lubrication? I wish I had an actual trigger pull tool: all i can give is guesstimate from comparing my Cx4 with other guns people let me shoot and for which the trigger pull was precisely known.

It is still a great firearm even without the trigger job. I haven't had any issues with mine and it is an effin riot to shoot!

Many gophers received their 72 virgins this year thanks to my CX4.

Hairy

its otherwise a great little carbine. Just a heavy gritty trigger. So we fix that up and now its the best pistol caliber carbine out there. :)

lots of firearms require a bit of tweaking. Cars do too. many people buy cars specifically because they know the potential for it.

and, if you get just the trigger, hammer and hammer spring, its not that much. I added the guide rod and parts to my order.

you can do it yourself. Follow the instructions to take the trigger group out, see how the parts work with themselves, and take the trigger parts out of the housing. replace with the new ones. There are some instructions to be found on the web with google, but its hard to find.

Anybody recommend a gunsmith in the GVRD to install the Sierra Papa trigger/hammer/spring kit and housing?

Call Barry at Bits of Pieces , some like him some dont.
There is the Beretta CX Storm Forum that has loads of useful information.
Sierra Poppa might have some tips as well iirc.
Been 6 years since my use of the Storm.

jermyzy, dont put to much into this perceived issue of the trigger in your new gun.
Take it out( when it arrives ) to the range or gravel pit and have fun with it.
Give it a good work out and then go into the finer details of the trigger group.
Two things, if you take it apart to change out the left or right side ejection ensure you get that little clip placed correctly.
Secondly, if you have the choice run some Fiochi ammo through it...mine liked it..kinda like Mikey and Life cereal.
Pics too when time permits.

Rob's very right, the ammo quality makes a difference when shooting 9mm. Not a lot at 10m, but very noticable at 50m. Check posts #297 and #301.

Same mags. But if they're full, i find i get the occasional ftf

Doesn't happen when i only load 5 rounds though

Dont recall one failure, even with full mag, this setup has been stellar, you may have a tight mag spring one one or more, mines are pretty well used, they had 3K rounds use prior being used with my CX-4... JP.

Did the hammer mod on mine and man it is a lot nicer trigger after doing that. Trigger is lightened and smoother. It has shrunks my groups up too with doing that. Happy happy happy :d

Here is mine all done up. Love this gun.

Expected delivery: 2015/09/08 :(

Delivery standard date: 2015/09/04

Does that mean I still have a chance to get it before the weekend?

Do the mec-gar 92fs magazine work as well as the OEM ones? Wouldn't mind saving a few bucks

Also, how to I determine where to mount the optics? I bought a Bushnell TRS-25 RDS, am I supposed to mount it closer to my face or further down towards the barrel?
