the best .22LR pistol for under $600?

what about a ruger 22/45?, it is the best hand gun i own

x2. I have a ruger Mk III 22/45 target (blued) that had one failure to feed on the first mag, and has been perfect from then on, which was my fault for not getting all the grease out. Shooting 2 handed I can put about 9.76 out of 10 on an old propane cylinder at 100 yards. It will do better than that, but my eyes won't. Just put a red dot on it the other day so we'll see.

What do you guy's think about Crapo Norinco's nock off of the great Colt Woodsman?
Is it even worth it to buy?
Or is it a steer clear and a waste of money and time?

A little small but it shoots great and is accurate, concidering the loose rear sight. $185 shipped

IS this a non-restricted pistol?
Neos-Carbine.gif

No, it's a carbine kit that uses the frame of an existing Neos pistol. According to RCMP policy, if the gun was ever registered as a pistol, it will always be considered one, no matter what is done to it. However, if Beretta ever decided to release a version of the Neos in a rifle configuration similar to this, but built that way from the ground up, I believe it should be non restricted just like Browning's Buckmark rifles.

dont think it is out yet,, very doubtful

It's been out in the states since last year. However, none have made their way up here to my knowledge. I've been interested in these for a while, and I'm planning on asking Stoeger Canada if they're willing to import them, after I've gotten my Neos back from the recall work.

Mine has never skipped a beat. She'll eat any ammo I throw in her, and I've found it to be pretty accurate to boot. Disassembly is a snap, and the ambidextrous safety is a nice touch for southpaws like me. The only real criticism I have for it is that the trigger is a little bit on the heavy side.

Don't let the mention of the recall turn you off of considering it, either. Stoeger Canada sent out a recall notice to every shop that carries Neos pistols to send them back if they are in the affected serial number range, so any new ones you encounter in a gun shop should have left the factory with the improved firing pins. I just wish Beretta USA would hurry up and send the new pins to Stoeger so I can get my Neos back.:(
