The BEST Barrel for Your BUCK

There is JC, Lilja, international, Bartlien, Kieger, Shilen, just to name a few, and some i may be wrong at, some are probably scrap steel... what makes Your projectile fly true from sub standard factory barrels?

Not sure why the six groove preference but if you are looking for barrels that appear with high frequency in international BR competition equipment lists, Kreiger and Bartlein can not be overlooked.

thanks and just said 6 as a starting point since it can go either up or down depending on ones needs (hunt, paper punch), caliber choices, and if some guns are even worthy of a barrel upgrade

I’ve owned a few. Anymore I don’t prefer cut rifled barrels. They don’t want for accuracy, but they consistently foul more. Often I choose based on availability and contour. I like Benchmark a lot and will probably keep using them.

who makes the BEST after market 6 groove barrel for Your Buck....for the custom and semi custom...who is the BEST for the BUCK

I just ordered my second Custom Jury barrel out of Red Deer. Bob Jury barrels are stainless steel and he will custom contour/profile it at any length. If you want flutes, he can do that as well. Jury, Gaillard and Smith are all Canadian barrel makers who make great barrels. Jury barrels start off at $440.00.

interesting....what about the GS near Trochu Alberta...same.guy?

That would be Ron Smith. He makes gain-twist barrels, which are superior to just about any other barrel out there.

Ron Smith does make great barrels, however, the top three barrel makers are: Bartlein, Hawk Hill Custom and Benchmark. Canadian barrel makers are not well known out of country. I've always supported Canadian barrel makers by purchasing their product, it's a loyalty thing.

Green Mountain barrels, available from Barry at bits of pieces in Delta BC.

They are about half the cost, made in quantity on CND equipment. I've bought several from Barry and all of the have been of excellent quality. He can get them as full diameter blanks or profiled.

TURF THE LIBERALS IN 2019
