I know that I'm nowhere near a good rifle shooter but I'm surprised at how well I shot today. It was indoor at Target Sports @ 25m. Testing out a load (26.0gr CFE223 under CamPro 55gr).

Just placed an order for a Geissele SSA-E in hopes it would improve even more. It has a factory Daniel Defense single stage in it right now.

I can't wait until the weather is warmer so I can try 50yards (I've never tried 100yd yet because I don't have enough experience under my belt)

take off that bipod and that scope, take some courses with earl green

screw baby steps, the value youll get from those courses is tremendous

I'd say that you've got 25m pretty much figured out. That rifle is capable of doing whatever you need out to 500m.

take off that bipod and that scope, bring you ar to the usa and take a course at valor ridge, reid will teach you to shoot a man sized target to 300 yards with iron sights on the rifleman 1 course, and 600 yards with iron sights on the rifleman 2 course.

I would love to take that course. Reid seems like a hell of a good guy from what I've seen on line, although I never met him when he worked for Yeager.

yah i just read on his site that he is no longer offering it to canadians, so earl green might be best

Not an unexpected development. The number of reputable instructors in the US who are willing/able to train foreign nationals is dwindling down to nothing and most don't want the hassle of coming up here. I've done a few courses with Phase Line Green, but I'd take a couple more a make it an even dozen. Haha! Earl's a good dude.

I would be shooting outdoor more often if I lived closer to silverdale but that's a 1.5 hour drive each way (more if I get stuck in traffic which almost always happens in Toronto). I only have the opportunity to get to shoot outdoors maybe 5-6 times per year and I just started last year. Target Sports is only 15 minutes from me so it's a lot easier for me to get away for a couple hours. I'm also more of a pistol guy. I go to the range mainly to shoot pistols and I bring my AR just for fun.

With a set up like that all I would be doing at 25 is function testing. Get that thing outdoors and stretch her legs to see what she can really do.

i brought it outdoors to silverdale last spring/summer a few times and shot at 50 yards. i had like 5" groups with factory ammo. i suck at rifle shooting lol
looking forward to going back with some reloads to try again.

This group should be the result you get at 100 yards, you know you are on paper... Good shooting... JP.

Dude you can do 100yrs, in December I went with the guys long distance shooting 800m and 1050m . Sako 338 and PGW 338 piece of Cake and I had not shot a rifle in 10 yrs at that point. Put a bean bag under the butt stock and you will be ok.
