The best milsurp for investment

If US import laws ever change and they can import semi autos with detachable mags again the price of the SVT40 will skyrocket , remember they never made many SVTs compared to Mosins or SKSs , they are just cheap here cause the US cant import them anymore . The ones that are in the US sell for about 2K and up..

I remember in the early 80's buying 38 + 96 Swedish mausers for $50,Garands for $250.Surplus AR-10,Iranian G3's and FNFAL's for $500-$600.New Polish 44's for under a $100 etc. It's all relative. You have to be able to afford buying them at the time they are available and sit on them for 25 years.........Harold

The ammo will double before the rifles. Only the best of the SKS's and mosins on the market now have any chance of being a profitable investment. Now if pleasure is your profit it is a different story.

Part of the problem with the more produced milsurps is you never know when and if more will hit the market. I'm thinking things like the garand, one cannot rule out another large importation.

Anytime I see an original sniper version of any milsurp the price never gets cheaper.
German K98's with intact Waffenampts sell almost immediately at high prices.
Low supply, high demand.

Everyone bashes the RC K98's as "uncollectable" because of the mismatched parts. This grinds my gears. Mine has all the original Waffenampts stamps intact, and the rest of the gun is in good shape. It's pieced together from other original K98's that saw battle and use by both axis and allies. To me, that has just as much value as a numbers matching rifle.
