The Best Pictures From Hunting, Without the Kill

Cinch, wow! LOVE them, hope you don't mine if I copy a couple of your photos and save them? Gorgeous stuff, love the wingshooting aspect. Nice seeing the East superd, this will be a good thread I can tell... :)
By all means, copy away!

FYI - I fixed the links (larger pictures), I didn't realize I had posted such tiny pictures.

One of my favorites. First day with the rifle, last day of the groundhog hunting in 2011. I'd shot one a few hours early, and just spooked the only other one I saw as I was glassing this cut hay field. Anyhow, as I looked away from the scope, I noticed the sun as I was facing west, and thought I should go get the camera. This photo is now the desktop picture on my home and work computers.

Awesome!!!!

We don't get the red fall colours around here, just different shades of yellow. This looks similar to Northern Wisconsin and Michigan's UP in the fall.........

Have never been to Wisconsin but it is odd that you mention Michigan, my wife has family near Kalamazoo and we made the drive down a couple of years ago in the fall.... absolutely stunning... Vermont is very nice also...

As for the red foliage it isn't consistant every year... sometimes it's all yellow... sometimes it's a mix... having a lot of maple trees helps...

They actually have "Welcome Leaf Watcher" banners in quite a few towns. I guess it's before the "Welcome Hunters" and "Welcome Snowmobilers" banners go up. :p

Lots of photographers with tri-pods on the roadside taking pictures.

I love Michigan..... I went into a cornerstore that sold non resident fishing licenses when I was there.... you can buy a 1 day pass there for 5 bucks...lol...

The sign out front said

-Cold Beer
-Groceries
-Pizza
-Lottery
-Hunting and fishing licenses
-Guns and Ammo
-Taxidermy

I went in and there was not a wall didn't have something stuffed and hanging on it.... there was a nice assortment of long guns behind the counter as well as some nice handguns under glass at the counter.... It was like redneck Walmart... I loved it
