... Wombats really are cute. 'Never did see a Platypus in the wild, only at Healsville Sanctuary. Snakes ? The only good ones as far as I'm concerned are DEAD ones. Which is currently not Politically correct. Now, I think you have to call in a Licensed "Snake Catcher" to deal with them, even in your own Back Yard. ........ Been a long long time since I've even looked at Snakes, let alone the Australian Versions ( And they're all "Nasty" ones ! )... Tiger Snake ? ........ Used to be just about every Farm and Country Gas Station had a pet Cockatoo, generally a Sulfur Crested one, sometimes a Rosella, as a Pet and entertainment for idlers ! Some of the Country Pubs had Birds with vocabularies that would make a Sailor Blush !........ As a Lad, I got to make a lot of "Road Trips" with my Father, and that way, saw a lot of the Southern part of Australia, mostly Victoria admittedly. Plus relatives in the Wheat growing area around Waricknabeal,( The Wimmera and Mallee) and Cousins in NSW, living in Wagga Wagga........ Oh well that was a long time ago, and probably in the next year, maybe longer, but who knows, I'll make the trip "Down Under" to help finalize my Mothers estate. Be nice to to be able to take my Kids to see a bit of Australia, and where I grew up. ;).... David K

I have kids in the Mallee..god who wants to live there haha.
It is a tiger snake.
I have witnessed a few cocky`s swearing in my day too.
I have a lot of King Parrots that feed in my yard I must post some pics of them, they are beautiful birds especially the males.

Bring your kids back, they would love a trip to OZ i`m sure.

.. I'm glad you cleared it up ! That the Teeth, were the "Nankeen Night Heron". For a terrifying moment there, I thought it was either my Ex, or the Mother-in Law !;) LOL ! .... David K
