I'm sure everyone has an opinion on this. What do you think is the best 12 gauge pump out there. Browning BPS, Benelli Nova, Winchester 1300, Remington 870(Wingmaster) or others? To narrow it down a bit lets say a "do all" shotgun, from waterfowl to upland to turkey and deer.

The term "best" is difficult to quantify. Any of the guns you listed would serve you very well for the purposes you describe. I might suggest a gun with several interchangeable barrels, but beyond that your own personal preference and budget must be the deciding factors.

Mossberg M500 series. torture tested by the USMC. Alum recievers. better reail systems and extractors.

The Reminton 870 is good as well if you prefer steel.

I'm for the Rem Wingmaster. I've been less than impressed with the "newer Express line". The mechanics are the same but the finish is poor to be generous. Never met a Wingmaster that I didn't like. Have also owned a Benilli Nova. The fit, finish, and function were flawless but to me it was ugly. Much prefer wood...but that's just me. If you want an all around shotgun then composite is the way to go. :)

i prefer the Nova, but it does cost more than an 870... its hard to beat the bang for buck of an 870, but the newer 870s i've seen, the quality don't seem to be as good as the older 870s

If reliability is part of the equation, I'd have to go with Benelli Nova. That gun is impossible to jam, short stroke, or have a malfunction with in any other way. I tried everything from cycling empty shells to stroking the action really slowly as I was holding the gun upside down and it worked every time. The same could not be said about the 870 Marine Magnum I used to have.

Never had a benneli nova. I have had 3 wingmasters though. Very nice action! Hard to beat for the price. The bps's are quite nice too! $550.00 at lebarons. Hard to beat!

BPS at $550, definitely tempting. Too bad the engine just went kaput in my car:(
