This is my current desktop. It was made by a young (17) artist that I know.
I find it hard to change from this one.

A buddy of mine belonged to a hunt club up north in Ontario that used one of those for many years to get in and out to the cabin, and haul their harvest and gear. I understand it is sitting up there somewhere south of the French river, where it finally quit, quietly rusting tonight.

I vary my desktop image from time to time (like most folks do, I assume) but generally it will reflect my interest in military history ... particlarly Canadian.

The current one is a period engraving depicting the Battle of Cut Knife Creek during the 1885 North West Rebellion -

I wrote without seeing your posting. Not trying to tease.
Honestly, I could ask my friend if he can locate it on a top map, the last place he saw it, but they never used govt maps up there, just local place names and hand drawn maps. "The big ravine, the burn, Charlie's stand" that type of thing.

If I can, I'll post. I can pretty much promise you that it is several clicks from the nearest driveable road, although probably accessible by ATV and of course foot, near a rough track.
