The Brown Bess by Goldstein - Mowbray

I can’t speak to others - but I picked up that book and have enjoyed reading it. Ideally I’d like to acquire an original Brown Bess and I wouldn’t venture into that world without a solid reference. The pictures in this book are also excellent.
 
I have it and would recommend it. Incredible photographs and good explanations of key characteristics. As far as I know nothing comparable. Now if there were just a few earlier Brown Bess's available to buy for reasonable dollars!

Excellent book. And a copy is in my Den.
Good info on all Bess muskets, 900 pics all by serious collector.
Also, excellent book for the other side, 1795-1844 Springfield Muskets by Johns. Same design, dimensions book. They look good side by side.
