Is there something going on at the The Canada Firearms Centre (CAFC)? I've been waiting 7 days for a ATT to bring home my new Beretta 92FS! (I cry myself to sleep every night waiting for my baby to come home  )

Hunting season last year put a lot of load on the CFOs and the CFC.
My transfers slowed in some parts of the country from 2 days to 2 weeks. others that were originally slower were even worse. It got better by mid November.

I was a bit miffed at a comment made by one of the "girls" at the CFC a week or so ago...
I was told when I initiated a transfer that it would take a week to 10 days to complete. I called back after 10 days and got a rather snippy CFC person who checked and advised me that it was still with the CFO. She then proceeded to tell me that it takes up to 3 weeks and that I should know this by now.
Ignorant cow person.

I guess the rule of thumb is don't buy/trade/sell a gun in the fall, unless you want to wail 3 weeks for a short turm ATT.

I just finished the transfer of my new Glock. Once the transfer reference numbers were all in place, I had my short term att faxed to me within 15 min along with the new tranfer notification with the temp new registration cert # (until the new one comes in the mail). This was my first gun purchase so I wasn't too sure of what was involved and with a little help and some patience on my part they had me on my way and the long term att was just as easy. Overall... I'd say they were pretty helpfull.

I applied in October to have my ATT(long term use) renewed. Called them 3 times so far, but they don't return the calls. The CFC also erred issuing 2 incorrect firearms certificates. Called them too to correct their errors. No response there either. Maybe the CFC has gone bankrupt and we needn't bother with all that bureaucratic bovine fertilizer any longer!?!?
