Produced in the 1980s for the Canadian Armed Forces, this instructional video highlights the Small Arms Replacement Program (SARP). Yes, it's not the best video but some of you may still find it interesting.

Thanks,
Kevin

I was an Army Cadet shooting at Connaught Ranges in 1985...I recall sitting in my modular tent between shooting relays hearing repetitive full auto firing. I asked what was going on and was told it was part of the SARP program.

Cool video

Boltgun

I wonder how the Belgian rifle really did in the test

FNC from different time periods have different qualities. The FNC failed the first part of Swedish trial and FN had to revise it to pass. Bofors / Saab also had make changes so it would work better in cold weather. FNC just the way it was probably legitimately not good to go.

My understanding from the mess table rumour source was, the bolt pin on the FNC was a critical component and it was not reliable in tests.

Yes, I know it was rejected due to being used by the enemy...so to speak but my understanding it was doing exceptionally well in the old trials. Especially in the Cold weather trials.

The Galil was sent to the armored core I have seen footage of them being put in the tanks.
But that might not have been current footage.
I have owned the FNC nice little gun regret selling it.
