The Canadian Tactical Rifle choices...

My Benelli is an amazing shooter. It feels a little portly. Its ergonomics are different than the typical AR - and that is because it is not an AR. Get over it. My VZ58s in 5.56 are light in comparison and are not as modular. I use the plastic factory mags and have a ton of them. They work great. They shoot very well considering only being topped with red dots. I have owned and modified many Mini 14's over the years. Not in the same league. They can be made to shoot, but typically just don't. They are reliable. They are handy. Archeologists will dig them up 100 years after civilization disappears and they will probably still work. They don't use STANAG mags. Big deal. Odds are I won't be calling to a buddy to throw me a mag because I just ran my last one dry. The AK doesn't use AR mags either and millions of people still use them.

Tactical? What is anyone going to be doing that is "tactical". I think an earlier person got it right when they referred to these guns as, "tactical".

I think in this class of rifles, a person has to hold and even try a few and then go with the one that really turns your crank.

Exactly, +1
