At least he doesn't seem like the type of hunting host who would do anything unethical/illegal like we've seen some hosts do lately. The show is overly commercial though. Are you sure you weren't watching the episode where he had been hunting with his dad?
The one I REALLY can't stand it the dime store fisherman. I hate that guy!

Like shoot at a flying turkey ! I'm shutting up now ...........
X2I thought he was alright when he was on Canada in the Rough, not really sold on his new show yet though.
HOWEVER, any show that portrays hunting in a positive light, that is on a national channel and at a time where people may actually watch it is a good thing in my books.
Gives me the same feeling as watching the Dimestore Fishermen Bozo's.
he gets nowhere near exited as fred eichler on relentless pursuit.
I think that he is talking past us to the anti hunting anti gun crowd that may just stumble onto the show. To demonstrate that hunters are ethical, and think about preservation. Given the low number of hunters in Canada, every show has to do sme selling to keep it on the air. Even if you hate the guy, set your PVRs to record all of the hunting shows, as they are digitally tracked.
If we don't support these types of shows, we will end up with a few extra episodes of 100 huntley street in its place. Does anyone really want that?

Not to take a left turn here, but while I'm thinking of it....I saw three episodes of a hunting show that was done in Newfoundland. This was many many many years ago and the show was hilarious! Constant joking by the two hosts.
Any have any idea what I'm walting about? I never caught a fourth episode but I don't remember why. Cancelled, or had to work when it was on maybe.
