Hello all, I am working with another individual on further building serial number collations from the recent imports of m91 carcano moschetto de cavelleria imports. I know random people asking for ypur serial number these days can strike a lot of concerns in people now a day however these recent imports have contained previously unknown serial ranges. Rifles I own have changed the previously know serial ranges by at least 2-3 years in some cases. If you could provide your rifles serial number along with the manufacturer, date of manufacture and of course model your serial is attached to (m91 long rifle, m91 cav, TS, etc) that would be awesome. If you have an assembly number on the bottom side of your barre and receiver that would be awesome to share as well as the research on assembly number of early carcanos is almost non existent. The picture below is of three of my m91 cavalry carbines. If you try to look the serial numbers up in any reference book you will quickly realize that one of them blows the serial ranges from 1894 to 1896 out of the water. Thanks for everyone's help in reconstructing the history of the carcano. P.S. I am interested in every Carcano out there however these recent import m91 cav carbines (especially ww1 and pre ww1 examples) are going to have the most significant new data.
