The Clays Labs Matrix clay Game

Looks like an interesting game but it has the same problem as Helice does in that you need a bunch of machines and it’s time consuming to get many shooters through. One of the clubs I belong to runs a sporting clays evening shoot for a couple of months in the summer and one year it was proposed that we do 5 stand instead but we couldn’t do it because we sometimes get 50 or 60 shooters show up and they wouldn’t be able to all shoot if it was 5 stand compared to a 10 station sporting layout.

We tried it last summer at one of our shoots at the Oshawa Clay and target club. It's fun to shoot, but took to long for shooters to finish one round. Also some people found it to complicated compared to Make Or Break.

It had that look yo it in the video. Very time consuming and confusing. Also shooting every target presentation from one station would get boring fast. I like changing stations and angles. I'd much rather a round of doubles skeet or trap.

Both Matrix and Make a Break are head to head challenge games used to keep shooters occupied over the weekend of a Sporting Clay shoot. The shoot off between the top scores for the cumulative pot can be very entertaining. I personally enjoy the fun of competing against a shooting Buddy in these games. But as Bert mentioned, if the shooters are relatively new to the game or indecisive, it is slow going and can be painful to watch.

Yup...agreed. It would be a long wait in line for your turn. Be great to try it out tho, any excuse to pull the trigger and sniff some powda is reason enuff to do it !!

What a thrill it would be to travel the US and shoot at some of those world class clubs !! Looks like a long distance phone call to reach the end of the runway along those skeet fields..lol That club could fit 30 of them Matrix sukkas on it !!

The range at Sparta Illinois has, if memory serves, has 97 trap fields in a row and another 24 composite (trap and skeet) ranges in another row. Those 97 traps extend almost 2 miles long.
That's where they hold the Grand American world trap championships every year.
