Hello guy's !

I am wanting to get a few Colt 1911s and would like to get some education on the iconic topic. Can you please recommend some good reading and reference materials ? I love this handgun and am going through the picture thread and am up to page 155 so far.

There is some info on the Colt 1911 in Hatcher's Notebook. A great read, and helpful on other US (now) milsurp rifles (when it was first printed, WWII had been over for two years and the current US service rifle was the Garand).

Just a little PSA - you can alter the number of posts shown per page so you don't sit there scrolling through endless pages of only 10 posts/page... The 1911 picture thread is 59 pages in total for me and I think I am set at 50 posts per page. You can go up to 100 posts/page if you like.
