Anything that is AI improved is kool, period!

Anything that sounds like it was used by noblemen is pretty kool too, Geoffrey, Holland and Holland, Gibbs, etc...

The 270WSM is kool, I happen to have one in a Winchester Featherweight which makes it uber kool

The 257 is king kool even if it's not AI

Of course the koolest of all is the 264 Win Mag. Nothing even comes close to comparison of this legendary calibre!
 
well i just used my 1 hole 5 shot group @ 300 yard 308 as a pry bar because it wasn't cool enough for my gun cabinet.

off to buy a useless 357 crap & crap to replace it.

lol.. coolness of a caliber .. you guys kill me..

my great grandfather would turn in his grave to see the hunting community worrying about coolness of there caliber next your gun will be uncool if it doesn't have a built in ipod and laser rangefinder attached.

(obviously i know some people are not serious about this but I'm sure some actually take it into consideration now a day's)

all I'm saying is varget @ 3100fps 150Grain Combined tech BT's out of a pre 80's ruger m77... beauty too shoot. bullet turned in a deer tho!! so I'm worried I'm gona have to change this to a dif bullet.-- all work ups done on a 50 shot ladder method.. GL!
 
The trick with one hole 300 yard shooting is to put the first shot as close to center as possible. Then adjust your elevation about 10 clicks and fire the last two shots. Vuala, you have a three shot, one hole 300 yard target to brag about. :wave:
 
Can a xlr make the 30-30 cool?
Can a 30-06 be cool if the gun is black?
Is a 22-250 cool if the rifle is a shiney single shot?
A 10-22 cool if it has a banana clip?

I guess I am old school because I like most of the old and very few of the new rounds.
In order of my personal preference:
  1. 7 X 57 in my Brno 21H, Custom built 7 X 57, Ruger No 1, (1908, 1935, 1922, Brazilian), Spanish & Mexican Carbines
  2. 7mm 08 in My custom Remington 700 BDL
  3. 223 Sako MkI
  4. 6.5 X 55 in my 1896, 1938, and AG 42B,
  5. 308 in my Steyr SSG 69 PII, Mausers, M1 Garand
  6. 30-06 M1 Garand, 03 & 03 A3 Springfields, Winchester P17's
  7. 8mm FN 49, Brno 21H, & about 70 other Mausers
  8. 30-30 Marlin, Winchester
  9. 303 in my No1's, No4's, No5's, Ross, and P14's
  10. 30-40 US 1899 Carbine
  11. 44-40 Winchester, & Pederosoli Henry
  12. 6.5 Carcano Carbines & Rifles
 
oh and i forgot my Winchester 1895 in 7.62x54, that is super cool. and the fact that my .358 Norma is built on a 1903 Springfield, elevates the cool factor to twice what it would normally be.
