The countdown begins!

.17HM2? No thanks. Are they planning on producing one in .17HMR? THAT i would pay for! I've had enough of .22 and I've heard unflattering things about .17HM2. Friggen Cool lookin gun though! I would use it as a Varmit/small-game bagger for sure.

What is the R22 mag capacity limited to ? Put another way, what is the maximum number of rounds a .22LR rifle can hold inside of a magazine ?

Rhineland make a model with a thinner profile barrel. The problem is production, as they can't keep up with demand, so TSE are limited in what they can import when they get the permits.

Give it a year, and I'll bet the version you want will be in stock.

If you need a thinner barrel now, they are easy to replace so I'd get a new one made instead of turning down the origional. They are supposed to go on like a Savage, so it's just screw it in to the reciever until it meets the bolt and aligns with the extractor cut, then lock it in place with the lock nut. (Of course with a new barrel, you need to cut the extractor groove after fitting the barrel)

TSE R22

I just spoke to TSE. This is the status: the shipment is in, and they are calling people to get their PAL and credit card numbers. However, TSE is only making a call because they have a number of people who's phone numbers are incorrect. They aren't going to chase these people down. So...TSE figures by the end of this week, 1st part of next week, they will know if they have any left over R22's.

My suggestion, if you seriously want one is to phone them with PAL and C.C.# in hand, so they know you want one.

Status at Rhineland is they can't meet production, and next shipment to TSE is Jan/Feb 06 maybe.

Mines arriving at my doorstep today. Will let you know how they shoot. Mounting an Elcan scope on it and going to the range this weekend with massive boxes of ammo.

Just got mine  the posty dropped it off while I was at lunch and I didnt notice it till an hour ago. It looks way better in real life then in the pictures. Initial impressions are good except for a bit of play in the safety selector.
Its all black and looks great
