The Daniel Defense That Started It All. $999.00

Hey I was just wondering, I have received my rifle but I am not sure if I have my transfer anywhere. Was this suppose to be emailed to me or mailed? This is my first online restricted purchase and need a little help here. Thanks.

The gun can and often shows up before the transfer…..get ready for what feels like the longest wait in history

So it will come in the mail from the govenment then? Sorry guys all I had before this was a Sig 9mm that I had purchased locally and they did all the paper work for me. And it is to my understanding that the LTATT that I received for my Sig is used for all the restricted firearms I own and would like to bring to the range.

Correct, your LTATT covers all your firearms, you need to have individual certificates though which will come in the mail.

And do I have to have those on me while transporting to the range and back home? Or can I just keep them at home? I know I should have my LTATT on me while transporting.

If you need your transfer notice just call in and have them email it. It's suitable for picking it up from the post office (as per asking them about it)

You need your LTATT and certificates, I just carry photocopies in my range bag.

yes to this.

I carry the originals as I thought I read somewhere that you were not allowed to carry copies? Please correct me if I am wrong. I keep copies of my LTATT in my truck, with all guns and the registration. I also keep copies of the magazine laws i.e. LAR mags and a copy of the transport regs. I keep copies of everything on my phone. There are a lot of misinformed LEO's out there. (I know, Paranoid much?)

If you bought locally you still would have to have received your registration from the CFO in the mail. If you have the gun home, no foul now but your LTATT does not cover transport from the PO to home. As mentioned, just call them and they can email you a copy. Catch someone in the wrong mood and you can get nailed for that.

Shoot I was talking to the lady at the CFO office this afternoon I should have asked her to email me the transfer so I could go to the range this weekend

Whoah there. The transfer is not sufficient to take it to the range. Don't do that. Pick up from post office yes, take to range without reg cert no.

Some time ago the CFO told me that the transfer notice was sufficient to be able to transport firearm to the range. I'm not 100% sure that was good advice though. As always conflicting advice from different CFO's. To be on the safe side I'd wait for the cert.

As for carrying photocopies I can't see this would be a problem, try getting a straight answer from the CFO, good luck there!!
