IIRC, one Delisle carbine was removed from a museum in the UK for military service in the 1982 Falklands Campaign. I've never heard that it was used past this singular south atlantic war.
According to Guns of Dagenham, the Delisles were completely withdrawn from service by 1954.
From 1967 the Brits were operating somewhere over 500 L34A1 silenced submachine carbines.
In the Falklands, the Brits and Argentines (yes google it, there are photos of them in use) both had L34a1/Mk5 silent Sterlings, on issue and in service....in a cartridge they actually used (9mm Para), there is no way that any Delisle carbines were used by the Brits...and the Argies didn't have access to them.
Just run the numbers:
5,776 of the official army issue silenced Sten MkIIS were manufactured (This number does not include the ones used and manufactured by/for the SOE and various ES/WD organizations), along with
24,000 silenced Sten Mk6 .... while
125 Delisles were manufactured between the 4 manufacturers (Delisle himself/Bapty/Ford/Sterling).
