that deer was kept in a stall or cage.
Those hooves are a result of "foundering". It happens with horses too. My guess is that someone tried to grow a superbuck in a pen, obviously it didn't work judging by that scrawny little thing.
At least someone was able to bag him and get him out of the gene pool.
I bet he'll taste just fine.
Actually it's wierd he was able to grow so big and old with such a eformity, must not have really hindered him much.
