The dilema of CoreyTheCowboy

Be careful, Brethren.... the real dilemma of Cory The Cowboy is that he's running out of ways to cover up what ".323 CTC" really stands for.

His diversions, like not bonding the front sight properly, chambering the rifle too deep, whining about what is a reasonably good stock for an ugly rifle, and this one today explaining his substandard shooting is just another example. He is actually capable of shooting any ugly gun far better than you can imagine.

I well-remember him handling and shooting "The Ugly 9.3" when he was here. Not just calling his shots perfectly, but grinning like the Cheshire Cat while all of us stood in amazement as he repeatedly spelled his name on every target all the way out to 500 meters with 285 gr cast bullets at 2200 fps. The range master tried and the best he could do was at 100 meters, but he misspelled his own name! He closed the range immediately, and impounded my rifle for inspection. It was months before I got TUNPT back.

The really amazing thing was that those bullets were not even sorted!

As far as what he has posted today, I suspect that he purposely pulled those shots as a ruse to keep us from thinking about, and discovering the real meaning of .323 CTC. Cory/Ted Collaboration indeed!

Good night.

CTC?
- Caliber Too Cool?
- Cory Torqued Chamber?
- Call Ted Constantly?
- Close To Chucking?
- Cowboy Tough Carbine?

Talked with Cory yesterday. He is really enjoying the 323 CTC, 170 gr Speers at 2800 fps and more than satisfactory accuracy.

Now we wait for the pictures from the first hunt in a few weeks.

I am so confident in my spot this year that I even bought an additional doe tag AND booked a week off of work to deer hunt. That all but guarantees that I'll be skunked
The furthest shot from my stand is 48 yards, so I feel that the 170gr at that velocity should be sufficient.

Tell your dad it's a better Whelen. That should stir the pot. - dan

It's tough to brag on it too much when it's field results are none, but I'm certainly trying ;)

Yup, nothing is the kiss of death quite like TOTAL assurance... good luck.
