Am looking at a 627 myself, beautiful gun, 5" PC version.See? Were all those guys right, or what? That one will get you broken in, then you can keep an eye out for a Model 14- the quintessential .38 Spec. target revolver. But since you like the bigger guns, "you might also like" a Model 27 or 28, which are .357 built on the N Frame, like the original .357s in the 30s. Pricey, though. (One optomist has had a 27 on the EE for several weeks, asking $1800!)

... Only thing I'm not a fan of is the orange front sight insert. I found it hard to focus on for shooting 100m with it. I got out of the sun so the sight showed up as black and crisp, and was much easier to hit at 100...



My dilemma would be which revolver to buy![]()
