The Dlask NiB BCG - The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.

You mean Dlask could buy these, get them coated and replace the defective ones they sent out.

I don't think that would work. I think they are defective BECAUSE they were coated, and the hole wasn't sized a bit larger to compensate for the extra width the coating added. They probably fitted fine before they coated them.

What's with the deformed corner of the lug? A bit soft, is it?

It's the ejector pin that is soft.

Not sure what that is, Machining glitch maybe. It's the only flaw I can find on the lugs, hence why I pointed it out. The lugs are otherwise fine.

It's only got 140 rounds on it, but I've yet to notice any abnormal wear.

That whole bolt is a machining glitch.

Is this spot damage or a defect to your bolt?? looks chipped?

What, those triangles ? Those are peen marks. that's the bottom of the bolt, those are the peens that stop the cam pin. They are actually well done.
There is, one the other hand, crumby champhering around the hole.

I'll reiterate, the bolt has ugly machining all over, but the areas that matter are well done. The only defect so far reported is the out of spec gas key, which if you can fit it, does wear smooth with use.
