Both my Rugers (SR and 10/22) have the Nomad auto bolt release, they both release on slight smack on but of rifle. Though that doesn't really bother me.

If you have a 10-22 TD such as myself, the bolt must be locked back to assemble and disassemble the rifle. I need to do this mod one of these days, this time of year I'm wearing gloves and it is a PITA to release the bolt.
It works fine, it's just small and awkward to manipulate with winter gloves on. I would prefer to just pull the bolt back and let it go like most guns.So you're saying its too difficult to hold the bolt back with one hand while twisting the barrel in place? Or are you saying the stock bolt hold open either doesn't work or is too difficult to operate?
