I just watched that movie on Youtube where Alec Baldwin has the Winchester 1886 Rifle. I'm not sure what calibre that specific rifle would have been in but man what a beautiful rifle!

Great show, but the nicest thing in it was that Brian Lyttle custom clip point folder that Anthony Hopkins had. I want one sooo bad. 3 year wait right now just to order.

Wasn't that big, it was 38-55.

It was an 1886, definitely, no question. And, as you likely know, the 1886 was made 1n .38-56, not .38-55.
I thought the movie was a waste of Hopkins' talent...but that '86 kinda made it memorable.

IMDB movie database says it was a Model 1886 in .45-70.
