The evolution of sale on EE over the last years

100% correct.

Thank a Liberal. Lot's of Liberal firearms owners on Gunnutz.

And do not try to argue with a stupid Liberal, you will be called a racist, xenophobe, or a misogynist!........:) LOL

Gunnutz seems to be dying a slow death. It's a crying shame indeed..........:(

I joined over 17 years ago, it's too bad we have come to this communistic day and age.

17 years from now, our firearms may only be seen in a museum.
But to be fair, alot of it is people don't want to listen to rules, and then if the club makes any new rules, or enforces rules. Its you're a fudd. Club went after these Tactical shooters, that were doing un safe stuff. Then when they got called out for range damages, they went ape s...... Saying that the club hates vetearns, and that they were preventing training etc.. Then was going to smear the club. All because NOT all clubs are setup for every type of shooting. These were people that are going to get a range shut down.

I went to the club couple days ago and I had to report someone pissing on the club stairs, too lazy to go around the corner, to the porta potty. But these are the same people that argue F rules. Then wonder why we need to make rules in the first place.

I found after covid people got worse.

Prices have gone way up across the board. Wasn't very long ago you could buy a real tiger stripey k31 Swiss for $250. Not so now. K98s are out to lunch, ratty old Russian captures going $1200 and up. Nice lee enfields seem more stable but supply is likely better.

A few idiots seem to screw things up for everyone. Members in my range spend time building target stands and a small group of meatheads with semi rifles and shotguns blow them all to pieces in short order.

Or shooting the heck out of the rimfire targets with full bores. Our range is remote and self governed. So that kind of stuff happens lots. Skeets on the rifle range etc

I requested massive targets made for people, shooting shotguns, not grasping the concept of spread pattern. 25 yards and bird shot, yah your hitting the frames, then you are just damaging the backing. You're not patterning so I never saw the purpose to pepper a target stand with shot. Then people started to use them for rifles, because the rifle stands were shot up. Why we cannot have nice things.

I mean only 5 years ago SKS could be found for under 250$. 8 years ago a Mosin 91/30 was under 100.

Our club hosts two well-attended gun shows every year and we've noticed a similar change. People are just not buying the expensive stuff. The older generation loves to look and talk but not buy. The under 40 crowd likes well priced black guns. Ammo moves very well if under retail.
And tomorrow the next shoe drops in the anti gun liberal policy package. Justin's last kick at us. Who knows where that leads.

Guns prices are artificially inflated like our houses IMO. Everyone wants to turn a profit, including the “agents” aka the resellers/distributors. Like houses, prices of guns remain the same or increase after a few years.

Manufacturers saw an opportunity to increase their prices as well. Foreigners with money have scooped up all the good stuff and people are holding onto what they have because they may not be able to afford what they have down the road.

Only thing missing is the mortgages but, some of us use our credit cards to buy beyond our means so is there a difference?

When food prices double along with most other costs going up 25% or so, there is less money for guns and ammo.... the fact ammo has also doubled doesn't help either.

What POs me is we have a trap range for shotguns. Keep the shotguns off the rifle range unless you're sighting in a slug gun. Our range is more remote so operates on the honour system. Unfortunately out of 350 members even 10% is 35 Aholes.

The new generation of buyers under 40 age, are young Asians, they understand very well the value of Western art and culture, in our case milsurps. Before 2023 I sold around 10 classic milsurps and 70% of my customers was young Chinese. Chinese are very smart. Instead going for drugs , they invest in valuable hobbies.

Good Grief, INFLATION IS A DIRECT RESULT OF GOVERNMENTS BORROWING MORE MONEY THAN THEY CAN POSSIBLY REPAY IN A TIMELY MANNER. So they DEVALUE their currency or the world markets do it for them, which in turn, considering our GLOBALIST AGENDA ECONOMY, MAKES EVERYTHING MORE EXPENSIVE.

CARNEY, THE LIBERA/NDP "INFLUENCER" AND PRETENDER TO THE THRONE KNOWS THIS AND HAS ENCOURAGED THIS SITUATION TO THE BREAING POINT.

The exact same thing happens to those who refuse to control their borrowing on CREDIT CARDS or SUB MORTGAGING their homes to live a lifestyle they can't afford. The more you borrow the higher the maintenance fees in a continuous spiral.

PLACE THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS.

As far as milsurps go demand exceeds supply thus driving prices. In the early 2000's all the attention to Ww2 50 year anniversaries caused a spike in demand especially in the US. WW2 firearms really took a big jump in price, everybody wanted a piece of history. Back in the 60's and 70's the market was glutted with obsolete military longarms and you could buy matching German K98s for $100. Wish I'd bought a truckload.

I find the young guys are going after my milsurps. Some are quite interested in Mausers, Lee Enfields, Mosin Nagants.

A lot of young fellows starting a family are interested in military surplus due to a lot of video games having WW2 guns in them. I have let a few people fire some of mine. One fellow still remembers firing my Garand for the first time about 10 years ago. Loved it. He finally had enough money recently to buy one. 30 something and like a kid with a new toy. Always love seeing the look on a persons after firing a Garand for the first time.

Check out gun.post, asking prices are higher, but it's more like a flea market and guys negotiate.

The EE on CGN is as of late is extremely slow with few serious buyers.
The hobby isn't what it was 5 years ago.

Even low priced bread and butter guns sit for days even when the price is good.

Poor and expensive service from Canada post is another factor stopping people.

Also people's discretionary spending is being watched more closely I think.
They mull over a $500 rifle like it's a new car purchase
Bang on!!
