The export of high capacity magazines over 32 rounds is now prohibited.

Ok. I'm not sure why people are upset unless they plan on unpinning. It's not the ordinary target shooter who would have the burning desire to unpin. The US will be making changes. We dont have the second Amendment so we will always get fked by the liberals.

Because they're a bit nicer when doing mag changes on my PCC.
I also prefer 17 round Glock mags pinned to 10 than the 10 rounders...they are easier to seat when the bolt is closed. Same thing with the 33's.
Also, less choice generally sucks.
There you go...

you understand that this ruling was made in the US, right? It has nothing to do with the Canadian government. It's part of ITAR, the intention being to prevent high-cap mags (presumably drums) from being exported to nations hostile to US interests.

I would suggest you look into the creation of ITAR and the ramifications of it. The US doesn't like their stuff being potentially used against them (or more like their Defense contractors being undersold by some foreign company that got access to US small arms through other countries).

So is Canada saying they don't want anymore in the country ?

Or is the US saying that they aren't allowing any more export of these?

If the US is saying this, there had to been some behind closed talks with Canada and the US agreed to changed the export rules and drop this BS

there is no way the US would give 2 $hits about these mags

Canada totally had something to do with this

No no, it's clearly Trudeau and the Deep State™ cooperating together.

Not much to do about this one, unfortunately. I feel sorry for people trying to buy PS90 mags from the US because they're SOL now. Luckily, all of the other guns affected by this don't need a (pinned) 50rd mag to function like the PS90.

Personally, I like the look of the Magpul 10/21 Glock mags in my PCC.

I managed to get what probably was the last Magpul D60 in Canada, local store had it in the display case but not advertised online. I remembered seeing it last time I was there. I think it's time to stock up on 30 round AR mags, 10/22 10 round mags, and everything in between. You never know, and I don't have nearly enough standard capacity 30 round mags (5/30 of course). I'm thinking steel GI style mags for ultimate long term durability.

Sadly I didn't bought a SKS drum mag when they were available and affortable
Still got AR and glock drum mag... <Liberals eyes bleed>

Haha! Nice. I've been cruising the retailer's sites since seeing this thread earlier. I'd like to score a couple of these mags, high price or not.

They are worth it, built very well. I now own 2 of them. I was planning to get more but with this stupid ban that will be it. I wish I was able to get some 33 round Glock mags. Maybe I can find some Magpul 27 rounders instead :(

Nutnfancy recommended them as being great mags on a video back when. I had grabbed 2 from... GP tactical? a year or so ago, but yeah I could find a home for 1 or 2 more.

when are they going to restrict exporting mag over 5 rounds?

DON'T give the profanity of DDTC ideas... if they could find a way to creatively interpret ITAR to justify it, anything over 5 wouldn't be available to us down here in the US either.

Granted, it didn't help that a lot of the tech we shared with the UK in WWII, Attlee transferred wholesale to Stalin despite our requests not to... probably a big part of why there's a special hard-on for the Brits in ITAR.
