**Foreword: This thread is to assist owners in identifying occasional issues others have experienced with Factory Rifles. Please note the below info is for assistance. If you have concerns about your rifle feel free to contact Arms East for their advice prior to following the below information.**
It sounds like everyone is pretty happy with the arrival of these rifles. However, a few issues have arisen, some of which can be solved at home. I'll try to keep a running tally in this thread for current and future owners.
This thread will look at identifying and resolving factory built rifle issues.
1) Issue: Mag catch bar appears to catch occasionally on the lower frame when depressing the mag release button.
Solution: Unscrew mag catch bar. Flip the mag release button 180 degrees and reinstall mag release button, spring and mag release bar.
2) Issue: .308 rifles in particular could have issues with fte/double feeds. Especially within the first 100 rds.
Solution: Ensure you have cleaned/lubricated rifle properly before a trip to the range. Also consider checking the two retaining screws for gas block. it appears these hex bolts are not necessarily tightened from factory and can back out, allowing the gas block to shift and affect pressure in the gas system.
3) Issue: .308 and 6.5 CM casings are receiving scratches in neck/shoulder.
Solution: Stag identified that the feed ramps/lugs are cut sharp and leaving the marks. Will subside as ramps/lugs wear with use. "While the sharp lug will wear in with use, another member buffed the sharp edge of the lug with a finger nail emery board which solved the scratching."
4) Issue: Some rifles forward assist may not engage bolt.
Solution: Contact Arms East for assistance with new part.
Pretty minor issues for a non-restricted gas gun that shoots MOA.
I'll keep updating this as people have things to suggest.
