The fall out from the trophy hunting dentist

Only the illusion can be imagined and propagated, where blasphemy is held as being true. Right can never be wrong and wrong can never be right as light can never be darkness ...

And yes, I'm going to try posting this on Faecesbook... but my small friend list is short of idiots.

Yes, thats right..the illusion and its very present on many fronts.

Sadly, the native population will get SFA from the 'cull'
Lion Hunters supported those communities.

I fixed that for you. Sadly, there were A LOT of hunters who jumped on the "American Murderer Dentist" bandwagon. The ignorant and uninformed aren't restricted to anti hunters. When you mention "trophy" and "hunting" in the same sentence, the morons come out in droves, CGN included.

I find it funny that the same people who were sharing the original story about Cecil are quite now. Either due to lack of media coverage about it or they are hanging there heads in shame knowing they all in mass caused this. Where are the activists now? What is there solution to this?

sikwhiskey,

you have to be naive thinking that just with a map you will go hunting lion ...... how many times did you ever hunt lion before?

I think it would be a helluv an adventure to go on an un-guided lion hunt, as long as I could hire a local to help with the tracking. Success or failure would be yours alone, and not shared with or shouldered by a PH.

Why don't they issue cheap permits to hunt the lions? add a little incentive to get hunters back in. I'd pay 5K, not 50K, and I don't need a guide just a map with where i'm able to hunt........... Bet it would sell out overnight. 200x5000 = 1million plus other revenue from lodging, food, truck rentals etc, and they only have to provide maps. Would sell out in short order I think.
As the govt tried screwing over the Dentist, the 5K would be paid after the lion hit the ground..... They can stew in their own feces otherwise!

Good idea. It might feed a few hungry lions too...get them a taste of homo sapiens.

Well that's not really unguided then.

Going on a 100% unguided hunt in Zimbabwe, I think lion would be the least of my worries.

you can do that in some western african countries .... it wont cost $5000 for sure but doable. look for chasse libre in Cameroon and you may find some to do. but without that much experiences on African soil it can be a real disaster ... the PH not only but all the logistics that go with a safari ... i do not think a lot will survive on a local diet ....

I think the biggest problem would be the language barrier.
