The FAMAE SG542: Initial thoughts and observations (Range Report on post 40)

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. I still am enjoying the rifle a lot--here's a video from the last time I had it out. I'm using Hirtenberger and old DAQ ammunition in the video; the fifth round of the first five and the first round of the second round is DAQ--I was surprised at the difference in the ejection pattern.

I runs completely all the side. But looking at the back, front or recess for the handle mechanism there is no mark. So visually it seems to be only on the exterior. But still I'm worried this "vein" could indicate a deeper weakness.

Hey mine also has this line running the length of the bolt. Did you ever find out what it is?

Does anyone know what is in the parts kit from csc? They have a few different ones on the sight for different prices. But only one for 130$ has a photo and detail on what's in it. The other go up in price to over 400$

Only the one with the picture is available. The other items (those without pictures and descriptions) are ghosts that keep auto populating the store. It is a huge pain but the new web store will eliminate it.

Oh okay thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering is it the same story with some handguard sets that I've seen on the sight aswell? Also if one wanted a major part like a bolt carrier would they be able to purchase this from you?

You would need to provide more info for me to answer. In general where there is an item shown with no picture and very little description it was auto populated. If you have a question on a posting please contact orders@theshootingcentre.com and they can help you as well as correct wrong postings.
Outside of a very few parts, we don't have sufficient parts to sell them retail, they are needed for warranty claims.
