I am the current custodian of a FEG O/U 12 guage, IM/IC, 26" barrels. I say "current custodian", because I think this gun will be around for many years to come. To be sure, it is robustly built, and very nice to shoot. While I am sure FEGs will never enjoy "best" gun status, I am becoming convinced they represent wonderful value for money, and I believe I am understating their worth.
What I have found curious is the lack of a central repository of information. I guess that is not surprising for what was an inexpensive combloc gun. So what I had a mind to start was a thread that would capture information about FEGs beyond what's on Wikipedia and a few threads on various forums. If you wish to add to the "body of knowledge" for other shotgunners who are interested in FEGs, this is the place. I had a mind to doing this on another shotgun forum, but I think Canadians have more experience with FEG that those south of the border.
Contributions are open to the models, opinions, history, experiences, maintenance, parts sources, pictures, or any tips or tricks regarding FEG shotguns.
Thanks in advance for contributing.
