I saw the $89 USD RIA shotguns that I Run Guns was selling the other day, and I just couldn't resist.
I thought it would be a good "barn gun" to stash in the barn or to have handy for bears on a fishing trip. Basically, something to throw around when you want just in case gun.
It is quite light, and the polymer stock seems like it might break pretty easily if I dropped it.
The gun functioned perfectly, and had solid primer strikes.
The trigger is pretty rough. Kind of a gritty pull of probably like 9 lbs. I think I can work on it a bit to lighten it up.
Accuracy was fine with the little plastic flip up sight.
This target was shot at 20 yards with 4 shots from a 22lr adapter, one buckshot, one birdshot and one slug.
The slug hit right in the black at 6:00. Plenty good enough for a grumpy critter stopper. I kinda knew what to expect, after shooting single shots before, but that 3" slug was quite punishing to the shoulder. I'll definitely be putting a slip on recoil pad on.
Overall, it seems like a pretty good gun, and a great value for the money. I'd buy another one or two.








 
If it's anything like my Turkish single you can adjust the pressure on the hammer spring, just take off the butt stock and you'll see a big screw tensioning the flat spring. Loosening that will lower your trigger pull... but it might also lead to light primer strikes.

I value my eyeballs and fingers way more then trusting them to an $89 shotgun. If I wanted a beater shotgun I'm with Looky and would find an old Cooey.

And if I actually thought I would need a gun for animal defense, again, I value my life more then $89.

I would give 89$ to a homeless person before I would purchase chunk
The firearm industry has sacrum to the fact that people will buy anything at a price point no need for quality just make cheap and it will sell this is in all sectors rifles shotguns and rimfires .

Where did the .22 rounds hit? kind of hard to tell with with the buckshot and pellet strikes. Is that them at the bottom?

I had the same gun but by Sinsinati, came with walnut and 3 chokes. Was excellent with the mini shells for anyone wishing a lower recoil experience. They're certainly light duty though. I think mine weighed 4.5 #.

5lb 1.2oz for mine with an empty slip-on butt stock holder on it. Also a Sinsinati with the 18"ish barrel. You certainly know it when you fire a slug from it!

Thanks, sad I missed it. I want a cheap folder that I can backpack grouse with and if I feel so inclined, remake the walnut furniture for. IMO, shotgun quality isn't as important since there is no "accuracy" to worry about. Its not hard to make a hammer that goes bang. Any #### trigger can usually be polished or lightened up...
