Brief history first !!! I spent many years hunting with my younger brother . Who over the years I would come to call him billy goat jeff.. Because he seemed to find the biggest hills and ridges to hunt!
So this one day he says I am going to walk this way , so I said yep I'll go the other way. After about 30 minutes I hear a shot , then over my radio I hear my brother say (oh my) so I replied ( oh no) he said yep and I said how many hills , he said a few.....
So we meet up at a spot where the 4 wheeler just can not go any farther, and start the walk ( up).
Well a few hills later we get to the doe ( white tail) he shot. After gutting the deer now comes the forgetful part. No rope !! And neither one of us wants to walk back again!!
So me trying to be the tough girl I am said well I'll try and carry it for always !! Lol so I get one front leg one my shoulder and then trying for the second front leg and bending over at the same time .... Well when I bent to far forward the deers back end got me ( I got goosed ) knocking me to the ground in the doggie position!! Well after about 5 minutes of non stop laughing , my brother decided he was going to give it a try. But he wants both front legs on one shoulder and both back on the other.. So he is struggling and ask me to help give the deer a push up on His shoulders. Well I did and with one small push my brother went forward fell with his head stuck in the mud! Well now again I am laughing so hard and he is asking for help to get the deer off his head!!!
Needless to say we both stopped trying to be tough and each grabbed a front leg and dragged the doe out ... But a piece of rope sure would have been nice! :)

Yeah , most of my hunting stories are full of laughter!! Maybe one of these days I'll type out the story when one of my friends showed up and ask me to get my bikini on!!!! I was like WHAT !! WHY?? It October , he shot a moose and well it was on the other side of a creek !! Needless to say I went and got wet! :)

You aren't as forgetful as some. On our Alberta forum, two different hunters left their bows behind when they drove away from their parking spot.

Little White Dove and I went for a walk deer hunting a week or so ago, shot a nice little whitetail. Neither of us remembered a knife, nor did we have anything in us that could be USED as a knife. Lol

wasn't much of an issue though, that girl has the strongest nails you will ever see, she gutted the deer and even saved me the heart with just her hands and nails. Lol.

True story but you were not suppose to tell that one , people will think I am a freak or something !!!! Not just blessed with beautiful nails that can gut a deer!!

Cleftwynd you forgot to mention , um there was a hole in the belly already!!! So my nails did not cut hide , but I was impressed myself when then cut the wind pipe so easy!

Last week I was hunting in northern Alberta. I had walked about 100 yards before I realized that the bolt for my rifle was sitting safely in the glove box of my truck where I put it when I travel. I had even inserted the clip in my rifle without noticing the bolt was out. Fortunately it was only a hundred yard walk back to he truck.

Hey!! Now that's below the...umm...waistline!! Ignore her last post, she is having memory difficulties... Lol.

Don't make me tell the whole story now LWD!! Something about ... BANG!! Click... "What the heck?!?" Hmm?
