It was their idea to try it out so I bought a rimfire target stand today and put the 22 kit in the AR after school. :)

That is so heart warming. Nice to see that your wife let's you take your kids shooting. My mom flipped her lid the first time she found out i want to get into shooting sports. I'm no where close to having kids but when i do and they get old enough im taking them shooting and teaching them about proper firearms safety and how to properly handle them, and if there mother objects she knows where the door is. I hate seeing liberal parents just bashing firearms to there kids and saying that there evil and they kill people and scaring the #### out of them.

With the collapsible stock and short barrel, I was surprised just how well it fits her. She's on the 2nd stock position. Even my younger one (7) has shot it.

She has a non-restricted single shot as well but she goes for the AR every time LOL. She can't understand why she's only allowed to shoot it at the range LOL. Doesn't even make sense to a 9 year-old. :p

They both shoot better with peep sights than notch and blade. I think a red dot will be the bomb, especially since I can easily adjust it to shoot higher with the .22LR conversion.
 
I'll show my wife...she'll get a kick outta it. She just passed her Pal/RPal courses!

It's sad though, I have 2 neices and their mom won't even let the word "gun" be uttered in her house. Very anti.

Time for you to help educate her about guns then! :D
 
I've been thinking about this and there are two ways to keep people from wanting to rid society of firearms.

Educating adults who may not agree with our way of thinking is one. It has a moderate success rate. A mind made up is a harder mind to change.

While not having overnight results I believe that any adult who can remember shooting as an enjoyable activity as a child really won't think that banning guns is a reasonable exercise.

Take your kids shooting. Talk to their friends parents and see if you can take them some time. Include the parents too. If we all step up to the plate in ten years the gun banning club will have a lot less members.

Indeed.. and hence why I taught my kids when they were young as well.
 
wowww those kids are lucky. What i wouldnt have done to have an after school activity like that...
 
Here's one from yesterday. My 11 (soon to be 12) year old with an SR22 w/red-green dot sight. He had a blast (pun intended) as he consumed half a box of bulk .22.
