The future of the C7?

No money for ammo or blanks.

You actually had to say bang bang on ex so people knew you we shooting.

And as others have said I don't think it will be changing anytime soon. Some places don't even have the A2 yet.

he is completely serious:mad:

Yes we are.

Liberals always found the army a pain in the butt, a necessary evil. How can you justify a big budget to the army if your voters are "against" it?

At least CP has brought back some real proud to our military and to this country. Finally.

On the "plus" side -- "Trudeau" rounds (BANG! BANG!) were very light to carry, unlimited and as accurate as your imagination. When Mulroney's crowd came into power, we still had stockpiles fo the Trudeau stuff to use up as well... Some time in 1991 before we stopped shouting, I think.

And they burned very clean. Very similar characteristics for this ammo with the FNC1 and the C7. Amazing when you consider the disparity of the two calibres, really...

The only problem with Trudeau rounds was that if you were stuck in a blizzard on the side of a mountain, with winds above 80Km/H and blowing snow, the enemy couldn't hear you firing at them, and hence did not know they were dead. Don't ask how I know this. The rounds themselves though were unaffected by windage (and elevation), and had a unique ability to find the target even with those 80K winds blowing across the battle field, also as noted they were very clean and had no recoil. Dead Serious.

I knew that was going to happen (no money for the military) which is why I got out before the Liebs came to power back in '93.

Hearing some of the horror stories about worn-out kit, using rocks as grenades, and yelling "bang bang" because you had no blanks for training made me shudder.

Question for you military guys , how does the C7 function in very cold arctic conditions ? I read somewhere the Swedish military did trials on the M16 and it failed lots of their cold weather tests, they then went on to adopt the Bofors AK-5 that is a Swedish made version of the FN FNC.

The C-7 has around 165 modifications(materials used as well) from the original M-16. Being able to work in the Freeze was part of it.

Why no love for the SS109?

There is nothing wrong with SS109, as for M855 I have shot it and do not like it.

If ranking SS109 by quality mid 1995-2005 IVI is at the top of the pile.
Aussie F1 is second followed by current IVI and Belgian and RG SS109.
US M855 both LC and Win are at the bottom due to being junk.
