The Glock G48 "post-leak"

I hope that's the case. Unsure why they would put a number of $900 on the pre-orders though if they knew it would be significantly less.

According to the first Canadian pre- order post I've seen they have the price listed at $900. Not sure if that will change for the better or worse when they actually land.

Ouch $900 bucks, I think I’m going to sit this one out.

That pre-order has MRSP at 900! It's not necessarily the actual RETAIL price. G4C has it in plain English that the price may change along with the delivery date.
I recommend everyone stay away from the pre-orders because the more people get on it the higher the end price will be. On top of that with big name manufacturers like Glock there is little to no advantage of doing it. By February-March anyone interested will be able to go into a retail store and handle one, IMHO.

I know. Read my post. That price won't translate to what it will cost in Canada. Glocks are cheaper in Canadian dollars than they are in US. Look it up.

Not that I feel like getting into a contest over this, I just checked Glocks US MSRP on a Glock 17 and it translates exactly to the CAD MSRP after conversion. So when I see $580 US it only makes sense to convert that to CAD.

$656 with 3 mags is reasonable for a change, considering our dollar.
Is the slide actually Stainless? I thought it was a coating.....

One of the best features of Glocks is the cost, availability, and interchangeability of magazines.

What is the allure of a Glock with special proprietary magazines?

Someone please explain it to me.

Why would you think people are drawn to this model because of the unique magazine?

The allure is the slimmer package, and to a certain extent the fact that some jurisdictions don't allow regular capacity magazines so a pinned or limited double stack is a waste of space......... the magazine is just a by-product.

You can't use a G19 mag in a G17 either, but no one seems to worry about that too much.
