Good to know it's approved for restricted. I noticed the website says no prohib though.

And what I meant was not can I bring a guest, but do they have range passes for people who are NOT members. At TSC, anyone with a firearms license and their own firearms can walk in off the street and use the range facilities for $40. (a day pass).
That's really what keeps me going back. I shoot once a month, sometimes less, so it doesn't make sense financially to spend $700 or more on a membership....
However, it sucks being able to shoot nothing bigger than handgun calibers. I don't even know if you can shoot .50ae there..

Hey man you CAN shoot a .50ae there. And you can shoot .223
there. If your shooting .223 you need to buy frangable rounds there at the counter. And the prices for memberships is 650 first year and 550 renewal (second year going forward) the extra $100 first year covers the cost of taking the club level safety course I think its 6 to 8 hours. And it also covers something to do with the probation shoots. I can't remember off hand.

Ahh... Sal... He seems okay but acted snobbish at times. The only complaint I have from him was that he tried to rip me off 2 months membership. Seriously, I can understanding waiting ~3 weeks for LTATT, he must have compassion for those that waited 6 months. Seriously, what loss it is to them? I would be so angry, I would take my business elsewhere.

Unless they changed procedure this is what new members should do. Just pay on the day you show up for their safety course. Unless it's totally booked (not likely) you don't have to book and pay ahead of time. If you paid right off the bat, like an anxious noob, you automatically become member for the month they decide to hold safety course. If you miss it, tough luck. Okay, that's fine - thus, don't pay first until you know up coming course date. Well, I got no email or phone call for course date, so I missed first month. Load and behold I was docked 2 months b/c I was anxious noob and paid right away they messed up and argued I missed 2 safety courses. Sal ended up giving me back 1 month but kept insisting he emailed out the dates but I never received it. He showed me proof that it was sent out. He in fact did but the email got lost in cyberspace. It was a bad start for me, but I brushed it off b/c this place is close to me.

Nobody at the Grange responds to email either. My ATT arrives but nobody cares to tell me, I need to find out myself by phone or in person.

Alas, I'm no longer a member there. Their vents are terrible, IMO. Even after getting news letter saying they're changing filters 2x a month now. There are better and cheaper indoor places out there if you don't to reduce lead exposure, black lung, and less crowds always armed with cameras instead of guns.

All I've gotta say is that Target sports is about a 15 minute drive from my house. To me that's worth the extra money then having to drive much further (2 hours) to get to a range. Never had a problem with the ventilation, I've been there a few times now.

The people are amazing, the last time I went was on a Wednesday. Took my buddy there for his birthday, along with my brother and his friend. We were putting a few rounds through my 870 when Grant decided to stop in and let us try out his Grizzly. I told him I was going to be diving into handguns and he invited us to stand in on Range B and watch a him and a few others shoot for IDPA.

My only complaint that I can say is that I've signed up and paid, but have been waiting forever for them to run the safety course so I can get my LTATT. :( But I've been told it's because they are getting new management. I suppose it has to do with what Grant is saying above.

I feel your pain friend. I paid in the beginning of September and its mid October now and still haven't been called in for club level safety and probation shoot. Maybe we'll be in the same club level safety cource when they finally decide to hold one.

Yeah, I think I paid around the same time. I'm hoping they start the date of our membership to a date relative to when we take the course. I'll hope to see you there.

And Matt, I wanted to do the same as you and just pay the $40 fee each time and shoot casually, but there is no way to get a LTATT unless you become and member, and it's way to big a pain in the ass to get temporary ones way in advance to going. I figured if I sign up I can just shoot more often

Also JLJ I'll definitely send it an email. Thanks

Good luck on that. I was considering the Grange, but when I asked about the safety course, I was told "about a month". I then asked could they be more specific, and the answer essentially, no. So I chose another club, which could provide a specific answer (though ironically, the wait was ~ 6 months, but they suggested I show up for earlier ones in case folks dropped out. Which I did. And I got in).

For the record, I'm not bashing the Grange, but I do feel that if the club wishes to be housed in a *commercial* range, it should be more accommodating for aspirants.
