uhhh I need some help boys. This piece of plastic inside the trigger group gave way. Is there anyway to get an importer to fix/replace at cost? Or is it game over now that these are prohib?

looks like its a little plastic piece that keeps the magazine safety in-line.

You can contact blue line and try warranty. But being that they're prohib now, doubt they will fix it or sell you parts. All you can do is ask. But you can disable the mag safety, by using the spring and installed reversed. So it pushes it back.

Like 'carve' a piece of durable plastic (or metal?). Use a dremel or wood carving knives-if plastic ? Or make a mold from the OEM part and use a 'hard' epoxy.

Unfortunately I let my wife drive our boat and she made a tight turn and my GSG 16 fell into Lake Els. I miss the gun every week I go to our range.

Not wanting to change the subject or stir the pot……but…….
Even if a firearm is arbitrarily declared “prohib”, if it is still legal to have it in your possession, is it not still legal to source parts for it, be it from a retailer or from a fellow firearms enthusiast, or even to make it your self?
For eg, if I own an (evil) AR15, it should still be legal for me to sell a trigger to a fellow AR15 owner? No?
The same should go for the GSG and any other OIC prohibs, should it not?

You probably know you are the only one who knows you have one so why do you really care? They cant pick up what they don't know you have. You could sell it to your neighbour if you wanted to and nobody will ever know. Drop it on the lake, bury it in somebodys backyard. I have to think unregistered guns are being bought and sold around this country as we write this.

Legally it is certaimly against the law. Not at all sure how they enforce the law and apparently there are a number of Provinces who have told the Feds to pound sand. Time we all did.
