The UMP style stock is incredibly high quality and is manufactured using fiberglass reinforced plastic, rubber buttplate and rubber cheek rest. A steel sling QD attachment connects to the baseplate. The backplate needs to be extended 1/2" permanently to ensure that it meets the 26" O.A.C N/R requirement but should be able to be completed easily. Very easy to fix permanently as well for 9" barrel models.

Sort of an off topic question.

Mid shoot the other day with my stock gsg16 and I had a weird failure. Gun would not function and the trigger was dead.

Brought her home and took it apart, found the bolt stop and small allen screw had fallen out. That little chunk of metal that sits behind the bolt , yea that piece. The allen screw backed off and the plate fell out.

My question is how do you guys tighten that bolt stop down to prevent this from happening ? Anyone use blue loctite on that thing? It only gets so tight with an allen key.

edit- just noticed my stop block does not have a washer with the allen screw. Anyone else notice this?

The allen bolt should have a small split washer underneath. The split washer will give the resistance needed to keep the allen bolt from loosening. No need for loctite there with the washer. I'll take a photo in the morning and can give the dimensions.

Here are the photos of the bolt block, allen bolt and split washer.
The washer must go inside the recess of the bolt block. Sorry I forgot to get the dimension when I took the photos lol.

yea so for some reason im missing that washer. If you could get the dimensions that would be perfect.

i threw a small dab of blue loctite on the bolt in the mean time. Should be ok ya?

Hey Randy,
Put up a WTB ad. I"d bet that there are still a bunch that haven't been installed. I'm all out of the Dlask barrels myself except on my personal rifle but they were really high quality.

Almost ready! Need to test at the range tomorrow and a new mod to add. Soooo nice to hold, balance feels great too

BTW That can is strictly a barrel shroud and does absolutely nothing to quiet down this rifle. There are no fins, baffles or anything but a 15mm tube inside a thin aluminum can to slide over the barrel lol Exact same barrel shroud design as the GSG16 with 16" barrel.

Beautiful work as always, I’m guessing that’s the rare 522k kit? Unless you’ve got a new source for em
